Arts On Tour

The Arts on Tour roster lists a broad spectrum of Arkansas’s finest solo and ensemble performers, individual visual artists and prepared art exhibitions ready for touring within Arkansas. The online AOT listing facilitates the booking process for arts organizations, festival and event planners, schools, civic organizations and government entities interested in contracting with the artists.

The AOT program is designed to reimburse presenters who showcase Arkansas artists listed on the roster. When an AOT artist negotiates a contract with the presenter, the Arkansas Arts Council typically will subsidize 40 percent of the cost of the event as long as funds are available.

New AOT artists are selected each year through a panel process.

The Arts On Tour Artist Roster opens Oct. 15, 2026.

To be eligible for the Arts on Tour Program, a performing or visual artist must:

  • Maintain a primary residency in Arkansas, or must have an Arkansas based contact.
  • Have presented concerts, exhibitions, programs or lecture-demonstrations in locations away from their home location at least twice in the previous year. Exhibitions must have been presented in a formal gallery space.

The Arkansas Arts Council reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of the scope or nature of the presentation proposed by a selected Arts on Tour artist and retains the right to determine the suitability of an AOT artist to remain on the roster once they have been selected.

Arts on Tour Artist Roster application forms should be submitted online by completing the form linked below. You will receive an email confirmation when we have received your online submission.

Little Rock-based Rock Moves Contemporary Dance is the premiere professional contemporary dance company in Central Arkansas. Rock Moves was born in the wake of several university dance programs' closures across the state of Arkansas. Artistic Director, Robin Neveu Brown, is a proud Little Rock transplant, working to catalyze an entire contemporary dance community so that talented artists do not need to leave our state in order to have a career. Our mission is to share the vibrant and vital art form of contemporary dance through live performance, dance film, and community-facing educational programming. Rock Moves' choreographic projects are site-specific and often immersive or participatory in nature in order to engage people in new ways of seeing and being in their spaces. We bring dance beyond its traditional, insular settings of stage and studio, activating our community's public spaces with kinetic and dynamically expressive storytelling. In addition to teaching in public schools and community centers throughout Central Arkansas, Rock Moves offers twice weekly community classes in Little Rock that are open to all levels of experience. In the spring, Rock Moves will host a community-building workshop, Movement Kitchen, in which a cohort of early career choreographers and interdisciplinary artists will meet monthly to share work, hone their artistic voice, engage in artistic discourse, and form a support network for one another.

Robin Neveu Brown is a professional contemporary dancer, choreographer, dance educator, and theatre artist whose work has been seen both nationally and internationally. She holds an MFA in Dance from the University of Maryland, a BFA in Dance from the University of Florida, and is a Certified Movement Analyst in the Laban/Bartenieff Movement System. She danced professionally in both New York and Washington DC for over a decade, where she had the pleasure of performing in works by David Dorfman Dance, Susan Marshall, PEARSONWIDRIG DANCE THEATER, Neta Pulvermacher, Deganit Shemy, and Tzveta Kassabova. In addition to Rock Moves, Robin is also Co-Artistic Director of Red Key Dance Theatre alongside Little Rock-based theatre artist, Kevin Alan Brown. Robin also remains current in the east coast dance scene by working as a collaborator with the Washington DC-based dance/film/design company Orange Grove Dance. Robin has taught dance at several universities in the Washington DC/Maryland/Virginia area and served as Visiting Assistant Professor of Dance at University of Arkansas at Little Rock from 2017 to 2020.
