Professional Development

The Education Department offers teacher workshops and in-services on topics of Arkansas African American history. These workshops are available on-site or as outreach. Please contact the Education Department at 501.683.3592 for more information.

These hands-on, multidisciplinary workshops can be applied towards professional development credit, meet Arkansas Curriculum Standards, and are engaging for teachers of all levels!

All of our workshops can be used to fulfill the professional development credit in Arkansas history, yet many of the sessions include information that is useful to other disciplines such as science, English, math, art, and music.
