The Lyrique Quintette has performed throughout the United States and abroad including Thailand, Germany and Canada. They were invited guests at numerous national and international music conferences and festivals, and have been commissioned and premiered works by many contemporary composers. Formed in 1990, the quintette has maintained an active performance schedule, with a regular home concert series and frequent guest artist tours. The Lyrique Quintette is committed to furthering the musical education of young people and has made hundreds of visits to schools giving master classes and performing for aspiring musicians. The expertise of the quintette has resulted in inspiring educational programs and tailoring them to the audience. Members of the quintette are highly acclaimed artists with a wealth of solo, chamber, orchestral and teaching experience. Instrumentalists are Ronda Mains, flute; Theresa Delaplain, oboe; Nophachai Cholthitchanta, clarinet; Lia Uribe, bassoon; and Timothy Thompson, French horn.
