A workshop can be tailored to fit the level of the students, k-adult, as well as fit into any time frame. Acting  starts with "focusing attention", which is a skill that is invaluable in any situation, and the foundation of my classes. I teach the basics of acting, including imagination, pantomime, teamwork and basic theatre terms. To explore these skills, games and exercises are used to create a kinesthetic learning environment. Students will work toward performance, the content of which is determined by each specific residency (perhaps creating their own story/plays based on the "Story Puzzle", or showcasing skills learned). FUN is always the name of the game in my classes, with a big dose of discipline and learning! Arts-Integration training: Available to conduct teacher workshops that explore using theatre and music to teach non-traditional arts subjects (i,e: history, math, etc)

Jules has a Masters of Arts in theatre from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of  Fine Arts in acting and dance from The College of Santa Fe, NM. Jules has been teaching acting and musical theatre to kids for more than 20 years, working with young people in Dallas, Santa Fe, Chicago and all around Arkansas. She has been on faculty of Arts Live Theatre in Fayetteville since 2004, teaching acting, comedy improvisation, and musical theatre, and directing  productions like Alice in Wonderland, Night of the Living Dead and The Secret Life of Girls. Jules is a performer and company member of Ceramic Cow Productions, creating wacky film and theater in NWA for over 10 years, and a player on PHUNBAGS Comedy Improv team. She has appeared in local commercials and film for several years, most recently playing Mags in the feature film Gordon Family Tree. Jules teaches an on- camera acting seminar for T-Tauri Movie Camp in Batesville, and tours into Arkansas elementary schools as a Trike Theatre actor in Digging Up Arkansas. Produced thru the Walton Arts Center, Digging Up Arkansas teaches history through theatre and music to thousands of 3rd-5th grade Arkansans every year.
