Juried Artist Directory

Welcome to the new Juried Artist Directory!

Our Directory is dedicated to creating a free, online listing of 2D and 3D visual artists who have been recognized by independent jurors and panels connected to the Arkansas Arts Council's programs. Directory artists have been recognized by programs, such as Small Works on Paper, Individual Artist Fellowships, Governor's Arts Awards or Arkansas Living Treasure programs.

Artists chosen for the Directory have the opportunity to showcase their artworks on a free platform to help promote and market themselves and their artistic careers. Works can be updated by contacting the artist services manager.

Artists who have not been chosen by independent judges or panels will be removed from the listing. This is an ongoing process, and accounts without updates in the past two years will be removed first. Thank you for your patience as we revamp the listings.

My current paintings are created solely from social media profiles and linked information. As facebook, twitter and any number of other social media sites become more present in our daily lives, we create an environment where it is easier to experience a person or issue virtually rather than physically. The online experience of an individual is often different from reality, given the opportunity for deceptive or selective images and updates. The many links posted within our social networks provide an equally deceptive view of the world around us. I enjoy working with this altered reality within the painted space.
