I have no “resume.”

At 25, I decided I was an artist and began playing with pastels and watercolor pencils. After a year or two, I decided I was pretty good, so I quit my job as a forklift driver and talked myself into an assistant illustrator’s position with a freelance illustrator in downtown Seattle. I did not have the skills required and quickly lost the job.

I moved back to Arkansas, finished my bachelors degree in Elementary Education and have been teaching middle school English in Magnolia, Arkansas, for the past 22 years.

In my free time, I simply must color.

I’ve entered my artwork in the Magnolia Blossom Festival Juried Art Competition several times and am usually rewarded with some sort of monetary recognition (though never the Best of Show award . . . oh well J ).

In August of 2019, I was given the opportunity by Magnolia Arts Council to show 50 or so of my pieces. That was fun, and I sold a painting.
