Specializing in early and contemporary Jazz, Jazz fusion, Blues, Funk, Pop, R&B, Neo Soul, Reggae and Dance music, pianist and band leader Sam Carroll brings many possibilities to the stage with Hands 4 Music Entertainment. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Sam Carroll started playing the piano at the age of three. He acquired his first keyboard at the age of five, and his performing experience started in the sixth grade when he was asked to play for the church during worship services. Sam soon realized that his true calling was to expand his understanding of music. Sam’s style of playing drastically changed when he became interested in Jazz and its harmonies. Excelling in Music and Jazz Theory, Sam was able to take his playing to a new level. Sam moved to Lexington, Kentucky, to play and record with the Central Kentucky Mass Choir. While in Lexington, he was able to collaborate with many national Gospel artists and musicians. Through devoted practice, Sam’s playing reached new heights. Sam has since returned to Little Rock, and in addition to appearing as a solo artist, he also is playing keyboard for the Rodney Block Project. Sam continues to work on stage or in the studio with Fred Houston & Promise, Broderick Daniels, Brian Cole, Bethany Divine, Central Kentucky Mass Choir, the legendary Rodney Bryant, and Fred Hammond, among others.
