Mike McLeod has been using his guitar, harmonicas, and voice for over 50 years to paint a picture of how things were back in the day for a wide variety of audiences. With over 45 years’ experience as a social studies teacher, Mike showcases interactive folk and Americana songs to teach about the history of the US through music. He has played for students in the classroom, restaurants, special events, festivals, nursing homes, concert venues. In addition, he has been a social studies teacher, principal, superintendent, adjunct faculty for Universities and counselor. Mike regularly performs happy and sad songs about work and play appropriate for students from pre-K through high school—“Rabbit ain’t got no tail at all,” where students hop around in a circle, to “Sweet Betsy from Pike” and “I Can See Clearly Now.” Different programs are suited to each age level.

Mike has programs available for pre-K through 12th grade and adults. He is available for 1 hour programs up to full Concerts or all day repeat programs. He has his own sound system for venues of 100 or less.
