Watercolorist Cynthia Schanink is an envisioner with a talent for bringing wet abstract color into an Impressionist landscape. A signature member of Mid-Southern Watercolorists, Cynthia has an enthusiasm to teach others this wonderful medium. Let her show you how fast, easy, and fun it is to form trees, rocks, and branches in a few simple strokes of a brush and a scraper card. She can teach this method to children or adults in a workshop setting—either as a retreat at the Summit House on Mt Nebo, or at the presenter's own facility with your group. The basic workshop includes a demonstration on the painting process, using the transparent watercolor method, a discussion of color choices and painting negatively around your center of interest. The students will learn to paint without fear using an energized and refreshing watercolor technique. Cynthia also teaches classes in portrait painting, and floral images with glass ware. Cynthia teaches classes in any subject of your choice. She also teaches Plein Air Painting and has won many awards at several events in Arkansas and Missouri.
