Cindy Phillips is a storyteller, a teller of old tales: folktales, fairy tales, and wonder tales. She has been telling tales to audiences since 2012, and her stories are enjoyed by listeners of all ages. The ancient art of storytelling ignites listeners' imaginations, and they see in their minds' eyes the heroes and monsters, the journeys, and the obstacles to overcome as the stories unfold. Without props or costumes, Ms. Phillips shares the joy of old stories wherever listeners can gather, ideally in small, intimate settings, where teller and listeners can see, hear, and respond to each other. The shared experience of oral storytelling is joyful and community-building. She has a growing repertoire of 50 folktales and fairy tales from around the world.
