Qualifying Experiences

I have been a classroom teacher for three years in the Hope Public School District. I have
taught two years of math while leading a middle school debate team and one year of 5-8 art. I
have completed projects with students such as sublimation, viral art, and public installations
such as Bringing Banksy to Hope where we graffitied town with vinyl stickers with school spirit.
In 2019, I helped our students build a winning float for the town Christmas Parade.
I serve on the Arkansas Department of Educations PLSB & Ethics Subcommittee. In 2020, I
was selected as the Arkansas Education Association Teacher of the Year. My supervisors cite
an exceptional instructional skill as building relationships with students.

Partnership with the Community

I will remain in the community thus able to build a strong sustainable relationship with
community stakeholders. I would be able to do continuous projects as well as partner with the
Southwest Arts Council on projects. My relationship with school administrators allows me to
have a constant channel of communications to get opportunities out to students.

areas and ways to grow. As an educator, he strives to build relationships with students and
creates a safe and welcoming environment. The goal of his projects are for students to be
engaged in a hands-on project and be able to see an impact that they have made in their
