Arkansas Artist Registry

The online Arkansas Artist Registry is a free service provided to the visual arts community. Visual artists may post contact information, a link to their website and display up to 10 images of their work. The registry does not include films at this time.

Benefits:

It is an excellent tool for visual artists who would like a web presence, and for arts enthusiasts and supporters to discover the rich variety of visual artists in Arkansas.
Artist Registry members receive our e-newsletter and e-blasts as well as information about workshops, competitions, calls for entry and other postings. Members are also eligible to participate in Small Works on Paper, the annual juried visual art exhibition sponsored by the Arkansas Artist Registry.

To update your membership, including information and images, fill out the online form with new information to submit. We are in the process of updating artist registries, please be patient as this may take some time.

Unlike a painter, who starts with nothing on his canvas and adds, a photographer starts with everything on his canvas and tries to eliminate anything which does not contribute to the message or emotion he is trying to create in the viewer. Through study, practice and experience I have improved my ability to "see". To see images which express ideas, images which are thoughts, images which look beautiful, images which say something I believe is 1. Today, in a junkyard I can find beauty, and in a garden I can find evidence of God. My active current interest is artistic images of birds. They are beautiful models, full of color and detail. If only they would sit still!
