My work is very personal as I am most interested in creating art for myself; it is my therapy and many times my escape from boredom and reality. My medium and education is based in photography, studying under the late Mike Peven. I prefer alternative processes and getting lost in a time warp while in the darkroom. I am especially drawn to solarizing my prints and the art of tintype photography.
Documenting dark and forgotten subject matter in interesting ways is what brought me to my love of filmmaking. Moving pictures became my obsession as I documented the outside artist Tim West. I want to keep finding strange and provocative subjects and tell their stories. Most of all, I want to challenge myself as an artist. It should never come too easy.
