Juried Artist Directory

Welcome to the new Juried Artist Directory!

Our Directory is dedicated to creating a free, online listing of 2D and 3D visual artists who have been recognized by independent jurors and panels connected to the Arkansas Arts Council's programs. Directory artists have been recognized by programs, such as Small Works on Paper, Individual Artist Fellowships, Governor's Arts Awards or Arkansas Living Treasure programs.

Artists chosen for the Directory have the opportunity to showcase their artworks on a free platform to help promote and market themselves and their artistic careers. Works can be updated by contacting the artist services manager.

Artists who have not been chosen by independent judges or panels will be removed from the listing. This is an ongoing process, and accounts without updates in the past two years will be removed first. Thank you for your patience as we revamp the listings.

Tom's childhood dream was to become an artist, travel to Europe and work with Picasso. By the time those passions could be realized, Picasso was deceased. The passion was realized with art degrees and the opportunity to study art in both France and Scandinavia late in life all of which initiated a new, second, career. Tom works with multi media, emphasis 3-D work in steel, stone, bronze and precious metals. Drafting, drawing, painting and printmaking are also employed to realize illuminations or ideas. Tom's pastime is mowing with his tractor and erecting new sculpture in an informal sculpture park at his home that fronts on McNelly Road, old County Road 40 in Bentonville. Approximately 20,000 commuters pass by on the weekdays and have created a recognizable landmark "where the sculpture is".
