I have been busy working up a new body of work during the pandemic. The work is strong with expressive lines. In my drawings, I try to capture the emotive sense at that moment or in one gesture through the quality of line. To add depth and to tell a story, I use layering with other elements such as collage or printed patterns sometimes. My subject is usually people. I am a people watcher and I love the different personality that come from the various looks people have. My art has spanned the mediums from graphic artist to sculptor to painting and drawing and installation art and murals and co-curating shows. Currently, my art focuses on drawing. Line quality has always been of special interest to me. The line work, depending or the angles, the curves, the bleed, etc., can create a different feel to the very same exact subject.
