The Juried Artist Directory is an online listing of visual artists who have been recognized through jurors and independent panels for programs and awards through the Arkansas Arts Council. The Directory recognizes and honors artists who are doing extraordinary work in Arkansas and have been highlighted through the Arts Council's services, programs, grants or awards.

The Directory helps enthusiasts and supporters discover the rich variety of visual artists in Arkansas.
The Directory highlights, showcases and recognizes visual artists in Small Works on Paper, Governor's Arts Awards, Arkansas Living Treasure, and Individual Artist Fellowship programs.

Artists chosen for the Directory have the opportunity to showcase their artworks on a free platform to help promote and market themselves and their artistic careers. Works can be updated by contacting the artist services manager.

I suspect for me the "light of idea" comes primarily from my relationships. The spiritual, physical and emotional relationships I experience as a person. My relationship with God, my wife and children, parents, brothers, friends and the casual or not so casual aquaintance inspire the work I meditate on and create. Therefore, my work is really portraits, letters, prayers and thoughts that seek to address a particular, and sometimes universal truth about the condition and story of human relations. There is a passage in the Bible that says, "from the mouth the heart speaks". I believe this to be 1. I also think that what I make is an expression of my heart and who I am. It becomes part of me and allows me to reflect on my life, my thoughts, my feelings, and understand them more fully. It tells a story. I hope others will enjoy it and ponder.
