Welcome to the new Juried Artist Directory!

Our Directory is dedicated to creating a free, online listing of 2D and 3D visual artists who have been recognized by independent jurors and panels connected to the Arkansas Arts Council's programs. Directory artists have been recognized by programs, such as Small Works on Paper, Individual Artist Fellowships, Governor's Arts Awards or Arkansas Living Treasure programs.

Artists chosen for the Directory have the opportunity to showcase their artworks on a free platform to help promote and market themselves and their artistic careers. Works can be updated by contacting the artist services manager.

Artists who have not been chosen by independent judges or panels will be removed from the listing. This is an ongoing process, and accounts without updates in the past two years will be removed first. Thank you for your patience as we revamp the listings.

Michelle’s art features a combination of traditional and nontraditional techniques. She enjoys the challenge of using the rules of science and the flexibility of art to create unique pieces. Her pieces often represent her admiration for nature and her conservation efforts can be detected in many of her pieces. In her more traditional pieces, she uses alcohol inks to produce whimsical pieces that mirror nature. Michelle also uses recycled or reclaimed materials such as glass bottles and rusty metal to create unconventional representations of everyday objects. Michelle attended The University of Arkansas where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and has a Master of Science degree in Strategic Communications from Arkansas State University. She resides in New Blaine, Arkansas with her husband and their four kids.
