The Juried Artist Directory is an online listing of visual artists who have been recognized through jurors and independent panels for programs and awards through the Arkansas Arts Council. The Directory recognizes and honors artists who are doing extraordinary work in Arkansas and have been highlighted through the Arts Council's services, programs, grants or awards.

The Directory helps enthusiasts and supporters discover the rich variety of visual artists in Arkansas.
The Directory highlights, showcases and recognizes visual artists in Small Works on Paper, Governor's Arts Awards, Arkansas Living Treasure, and Individual Artist Fellowship programs.

Artists chosen for the Directory have the opportunity to showcase their artworks on a free platform to help promote and market themselves and their artistic careers. Works can be updated by contacting the artist services manager.

As a visual artist, I gravitate toward figurative work. I believe that my passion for dance, how the body moves and the language it expresses is the 1 story. I prefer to work from life, the live model, or plein-air, in the field or in person with my subject matter. My preferred medium is graphite, and I also work in pastel and silk paint as I am hopelessly in love with color. I can't seem to put down my pencil, so give me a sharp pencil and I'm off on an adventure. I started putting jigsaw puzzles together before I could walk or talk. It was discovered that I lost my hearing until surgery on my sixth birthday, so my eyes were my window to the world. At five I stood and cried throughout a performance of Maria Tailchief dancing "The Firebird". My mother enrolled me in ballet and a love that became my career for thirty years developed into my second form of communicating.
