My work tells the story of my experience as a person of Japanese / Venezuelan / German descent growing up and living in Arkansas. My current art practice explores what it is like to be my authentic self including themes of femininity , queerness, and gender nonconformity. I use my art as a tool to bring awareness and educate others on issues such as the Venezuelan crisis, dementia, mental health topics, spirituality, and being your authentic self. My art shows others that they can turn their pain and trauma into self love, beauty, and authenticity. I believe in a world where everyone is worthy and deserving of love, respect, kindness, and acceptance. My paintings can be described as expressive, colorful, and full of texture. My mediums include painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, videography, poetry, dance, performative art installations, sculpture, and sound design.
