Juried Artist Directory

The Juried Artist Directory is an online listing of visual artists who have been recognized through jurors and independent panels for programs and awards through the Arkansas Arts Council. The Directory recognizes and honors artists who are doing extraordinary work in Arkansas and have been highlighted through the Arts Council's services, programs, grants or awards.

Benefits are:

The Directory helps enthusiasts and supporters discover the rich variety of visual artists in Arkansas.
The Directory highlights, showcases and recognizes visual artists in Small Works on Paper, Governor's Arts Awards, Arkansas Living Treasure, and Individual Artist Fellowship programs.

Artists chosen for the Directory have the opportunity to showcase their artworks on a free platform to help promote and market themselves and their artistic careers. Works can be updated by contacting the artist services manager.

My early work focuses on miniature fragments of the human form evoking partial stories of lives forgotten. More recent work, tiny houses, upended and encrusted in crystals, are haunted containers that hold the history of past lives and explore the residue or repercussions of our actions. My current work adds fragmented voices and ghostly moving images to the house/shell, which resurrects the dead and presents realities perhaps not considered before now.
