Welcome to the new Juried Artist Directory!

Our Directory is dedicated to creating a free, online listing of 2D and 3D visual artists who have been recognized by independent jurors and panels connected to the Arkansas Arts Council's programs. Directory artists have been recognized by programs, such as Small Works on Paper, Individual Artist Fellowships, Governor's Arts Awards or Arkansas Living Treasure programs.

Artists chosen for the Directory have the opportunity to showcase their artworks on a free platform to help promote and market themselves and their artistic careers. Works can be updated by contacting the artist services manager.

The Talmud says, “We do not see things as they are, we see them as we are.” Landscape photography is an attempt to look beneath the symbolic language we overlay the world with and glimpse what’s there. The artist goes into that chaos and finds something not human but still very vibrant and powerful. Jerry Garcia said, “Formlessness and chaos lead to new forms. And new Order. Closer to probably, what the real order is.”
