Evan Lindquist was born in Salina, KS in 1936 and grew up in Emporia, KS. He earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Iowa in 1963 and a BSE degree from Emporia State University in 1958. He moved to Jonesboro, AR in 1963 to teach printmaking and drawing at AR State University. He retired from teaching in May 2003. Lindquist has concentrated on the medium of burin engraving for more than 50 years. His prints have been included in more than 200 juried exhibitions and have received more than 60 awards, including: Boston Printmakers, Potsdam State University, San Diego State University, Hunterdon Art Center, Silvermine Guild of Artists, Montgomery Museum of Art, Minot State University.
