In lieu of drawing, words. Within the discipline of visual art there is, in part, a tradition in terms of making marks on a surface: I endorse to this as a means to an end. The practice is entrenched in process driven by perception, idea, material, time and space to the end of visual expression. As one who draws, I revere the contribution of prominent drawers who came before me as they set the stage and re-define the standard; breaks with tradition become traditional. The lessons, motivation, creation, journey, connections and innovations are time honored and continue. I would consider any contribution to this, in any small way, a success. In an attempt at making a meaninngful visual form in appreciation of the past, present and future, my time and place in the realm between infinitesimal and infinite is key to my work.
