The Juried Artist Directory is an online listing of visual artists who have been recognized through jurors and independent panels for programs and awards through the Arkansas Arts Council. The Directory recognizes and honors artists who are doing extraordinary work in Arkansas and have been highlighted through the Arts Council's services, programs, grants or awards.

The Directory helps enthusiasts and supporters discover the rich variety of visual artists in Arkansas.
The Directory highlights, showcases and recognizes visual artists in Small Works on Paper, Governor's Arts Awards, Arkansas Living Treasure, and Individual Artist Fellowship programs.

Artists chosen for the Directory have the opportunity to showcase their artworks on a free platform to help promote and market themselves and their artistic careers. Works can be updated by contacting the artist services manager.

Born and Raised in Fort Smith Brent A. Cherry has been creating the images that are stuck in his head since age 6. Color Blind artists have a challenging life but through encouragement and education he has overcome this obstacle. His love of art has found its way onto Leather as a Canvas creating beautiful usable works of art. This work on Leather as a medium lead to the creation of "Dead Cow Creations", which in turn has now become his brand and led to "Dead Cow" as a branded pseudonym. As a Choctaw Indian he has been inspired by the beauty of the Pow Wow life. Now in his mid age life he is rediscovering his true passion he is on his way to earning his Bachelors from UA Fort Smith.
