Don't Touch My Crown

Hair has become symbolic of African Americans’ struggle to define who they are in Corporate America, society and in their own culture. With the natural hair movement on the rise, various blogs, websites, and applications are dedicated to focusing on the proper care and versatility. “Going natural” ushered the opportunity for African American women to reconnect with their natural roots.

This exhibition is not just about celebrating hair, but an even deeper aspect. We’re celebrating our growth. Our aesthetics. Our culture.
