Natural areas are living laboratories. Many people use natural areas to research Arkansas’s ecology and biological diversity. However, a permit is required to conduct research on natural areas and for the collection or removal of specimens.
Application for collection and research on ANHC natural areas
All energy and energy-support companies are encouraged to voluntarily use best management practices (BMPs) in their exploration, drilling and reclamation activities. BMPs are innovative, dynamic, and improved environmental practices applied to activities (in this case, gas exploration, drilling and production Fayetteville Shale natural gas) to help ensure that activities are conducted in an environmentally responsible manner. BMPs allow energy companies to increase energy production while reducing the level of additional environmental impacts.
