Trike Theatre believes that the arts are an effective strategy to deepen understanding of
Common Core curriculum, strengthen cooperative learning environments and help students
achieve education goals. We utilize drama strategies like Tableau and Story Can to help
students visualize, infer, sequence, summarize, create and re-tell stories. For PreK students
– we offer a 30-minute emergent literacy and drama program called Dramatic Book Club. For
K-5th grade, we have developed week-long art integration residencies: (Kindergarten) – The
World Outside, (1st) -The Cinderella Project, (2nd)– Folktales, (3rd)-Arkansas History, (4th)-
Cause & Effect, (5th)– Narratives, and (6th-8th) History/Art/Monologue. All of Trike Theatre's
teaching and course work is designed to meet Arkansas & National learning standards in
drama and Common Core. Trike Theatre provides professional development workshops for
teachers, librarians and administrators including: Dramatic Storytelling in the Classroom (K-
8th), Developing Concentration and Cooperation Through Theatre (2nd-5th grade), Activating
Arkansas History through Theatre (3rd-8th), Digital Storytelling (2nd-8th), Engaging Through
