Joy Noir Phillips was born in rural Arkansas where dirt roads & rotary phones still exist. Feeding calves & snapping beans were a part of farm life. Where since childhood, oils have been her beloved medium but as her artistic boundaries expanded, so did her methods. From watercolors to pencils, she stepped out of the real world into a virtual one using drafting software. By projecting lines & text into a different format they’re transformed into more than construction documents but artful expressions. An artistic perspective rather than only an engineering feat. Translating real-life projects into interpretive art. Then she developed Tinker’a-zation Stations, an immersive UX encouraging the creation of art. Storytelling with words on paper & illustrations through artful expressions is another evolution. And as things then begin to cut a little deep & a new impression is made during a leap into printmaking. Simple put her portfolio encompasses...Farm-raised to virtual reality.
