My home was Kansas City, Kansas until 1977. I got married in 1976 to a military man and we lived in New Mexico for 3 years, England for 3 years and settled in Arkansas in 1983. In my senior year I took an art class and really enjoyed it but didn't think I wanted to pursue this as my career.
Around 2007 my husband bought me a watercolor set because I had been watching artists on tv and mentioned that I was interested in art. I started with watercolor, but quickly found out that I enjoyed acrylics better. For the most part I am a landscape artist but have added animals into my paintings and am now starting to try adding people into my paintings and have tried a couple of portraits.
I have added modeling paste into some of my paintings and have added acrylics to some of my earlier watercolor paintings. Painting is something I have been doing for myself, but have found that I have done way more paintings than I ever thought I would and I just keep painting. My other interests include gardening, remodeling, sewing and woodworking.
