The Old State House Museum

The Old State House Museum is available for private use by individuals and organizations. The Grounds and Riverfront Room are available for rental. The 1885 House of Representatives Chamber is NOT available for rental.

Rentals are available after regular museum hours. Rental price includes use of the facility for two hours, plus an additional one hour for setup and one hour for breakdown.

The Riverfront Room is 53 feet x 25 feet and the maximum occupancy for a standing reception is 100 and for a seated dinner is 60.

A wedding portrait fee will not be charged if the wedding and/or reception is held at the Old State House.

A security fee per guard is required for every 200 people attending the rental. At least one guard will be required for all rentals, even those having fewer than 200 participants.

Rental Policies

Welcome to Trapnall Hall. We are excited to help you have a wonderful event. Having helped many brides, party planners and meeting planners in the past; we have learned some things that make everything run smoother. The rental policies below are meant to help make every aspect of the special day go as planned.

  • An Arkansas Department of Health-licensed caterer, pre-approved to work at Trapnall Hall, must cater the event.
  • Maximum time allowed for serving alcohol is two hours.
  • Trapnall Hall is a no-smoking environment.
  • Bartenders must be employed by and be under the direction of the caterer. No guest may serve himself from the bar.
  • Trapnall Hall does not allow birdseed, rice, confetti, potpourri, or rose petals.
  • Food will be served only in the dining room.
  • No beer kegs, fountains, or ice sculptures are permitted.
  • No dancing or disc jockeys are allowed; however, we welcome use of the piano in the south parlor. Small musical groups are acceptable.
  • Overtime fees will be charged.
