Explore the centuries-old craft of lacemaking and try your hand at it. During this workshop, you will learn a brief history of bobbin lace, the supplies needed for the craft and how to do the basic stitches. You will also learn how to set up your pricking (pattern), how to wind your bobbins and how to work your pricking. For your hands-on activity, you have the choice to make a lace bookmark or a lace flower.

Barbara Schou was introduced to lace in 1988 and enjoys making bobbin lace. She loves sharing and teaching these near-lost arts to help keep them alive.
