It's that time of year again for the annual Delta Cultural Center Holiday Open House and Bake-Off. This event will begin at 10 a.m. at the DCC Depot Museum, located at 95 Missouri Street in historic Helena, Arkansas. All visitors are welcome to stop by and enjoy this holiday celebration.

As before, there will be three categories of tasty treats being judged. There have been some changes though. We have adapted one of the categories. Along with cake and pie, the new category is labeled Specialty. This may include cookies, butter roll, etc.

Contestants need to be set up at the DCC Depot by 9:30 a.m. so staff will know how to assist with the event. This will be located in the Delta Eagle Room of the Depot Museum. All contestants need to also be registered by Friday, December 5, 2025, at 4 p.m. in order to compete. Registration forms are available at the DCC Visitor Center located at 141 Cherry Street in Helena. Contestants may enter in as many categories as they wish, from one to all three.
Judging will occur between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Contestants should remain with their entries for the entire time. After judging is complete, visitors will be admitted to the food area and allowed to taste. They will then be able to vote for the People's Choice Award. This award goes out to the contestant with the best overall entry as picked by the people.
Winners will be announced between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m.
In addition to the baking contest, visitors will also be treated to musical entertainment and a holiday decorated depot.
