Join us for our annual Veterans Day program on November 11, 2024, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Cherry Street Pavilion. In addition to our salute to local veterans, there will be patriotic music performed by a brass quintet.

Veterans Day honors all U.S. military veterans for their service, sacrifice, and patriotism. It is a day to recognize their contributions to national security, and to acknowledge that all who served have done their duty.

Guest Speaker will be Master Sergeant Ray Sturgis (Ret), who is a native of El Dorado, Arkansas. After graduating from El Dorado High School in 1984, he enrolled at Louisiana Tech University on a Track and Field Scholarship, while there, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on August 9, 1988, and served over twenty-one years. Upon completion of Basic Military Training, Sergeant Sturgis was sent directly into duty at RAF Fairford, England. During his tenure in the U.S. Air Force, Sergeant Sturgis has been assigned to nine duty locations ending his career at Little Rock Air Force Base.

All local veterans are encouraged to attend and participate in this day of honor.

Area schools are also encouraged to attend.
