The Delta Cultural Center, on October 9, 2024, will open "America at the Crossroads: The Guitar and a Changing Nation," with a reception starting at 4 p.m. This traveling exhibition traces the evolution and impact of the guitar through history. This outstanding exhibit features at least 40 instruments played by influential musicians such as Jimi Hendrix, John Lee Hooker, Eddie Van Halen, and many more.
In addition to famous artists, there will be displays highlighting the music industry and wall panels informing the public about guitar history.
This reception will take place at the same time as the King Biscuit Blues Festival kicks off with Warm Up Wednesday featuring the Wampus Cats. That will be followed by the Bubba Sullivan Memorial Jam.
