Many medical marvels have been achieved throughout history, and one of the leading doctors to do so was from Lexa, Arkansas in Phillips County. This physician was, of course, the legendary Dr. Samuel Kountz, who was a pioneer in organ transplantation, research, and surgery. His life and legacy will be the focus of this lecture by Dr. Tim Nutt at the Miller Annex in Helena. Dr. Nutt is the Director of the UAMS Historical Research Center. Join the DCC staff at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 6 p.m. These events are free to the public.
