May is National Preservation Month!

Each year in May, historic preservation organizations come together to celebrate the work that they do year-round to help preserve the stories of the communities they serve. The National Trust for Historic Preservation helps organize this effort under an annual theme. The theme for 2023 is “People Saving Places,” which highlights the efforts of every person in those communities who contributes to historic preservation and restoration.

This year, AHPP has seen incredible support from the state, with 59 County Judges across Arkansas issuing proclamation to observe May as Preservation Month in their county.
