My art is a visual odyssey, an expression of my heart. Each work is affirmation and a conversation with myself, the viewer, and God. In my body of work I attempt to portray the balance of abstraction and realism as it relates to life.
My favorite mediums are oil on canvas paper, acrylic on canvas, and mosaics. When painting abstract I like to use the pigments as a form of therapy. Colors like words have the ability to enhance ones mood or put one off. It’s very important to me to use color intuitively and title the completed work with words that compliment it.
I discovered my abstract technique with a piece titled “Genesis”, from the ‘Because I Love You series’ (2020). I’ve continued to explore it since then with the presence of God as my greatest inspiration. His presence empowers me to create without the burden of perfection. Allowing me to express thoughtfulness and sincerity.
