Sharing the Spirit
On Wednesday, July 8, Arkansas will join 49 other states, five territories, and Washington D.C. in “Sharing the Spirit of America.” The premise of this is to commemorate the very first reading of the Declaration of Independence that occurred on July 8, 1776.
At 5 p.m. CST, people nationally and internationally will begin reading the Declaration of Independence at the same time. ADPHT and the Arkansas250 Commission will participate with a reading on the grounds of Historic Arkansas Museum.
