AHPP and ADE produce Arkansas250 coloring book
The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program has partnered with the Arkansas Department of Education to produce a new Arkansas250-themed coloring book. Titled “Happy 250th, America!,” it familiarizes children in grades K-4 with historic places in Arkansas of national significance, like Arkansas Post, the Louisiana Purchase Initial Point, Crater of Diamonds State Park, and the Buffalo National River. As with AHPP’s past coloring books, Diana the Butterfly guides students to the highlights of the state. In this special semiquincentennial edition, Diana is joined by Semi and Quinn, the two Labrador retrievers that ADE has introduced as mascots for their “Journey Across Arkansas” curriculum.
