Arkansas is kicking off the countdown to America’s Semiquincentennial! On July 4, 2026, our nation will mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has created the Arkansas 250 Commission to coordinate our state’s efforts with America 250, the national organization created to commemorate and celebrate the Semiquincentennial. Arkansas 250’s mission is to honor the rich history and beauty of the Natural State, inspiring Arkansans to appreciate and protect our state’s and our nation’s heritage through educational programs and service opportunities.
We’re asking Arkansas communities to help us mark this momentous occasion by creating events, educational programs, and volunteer opportunities.
