In Arkansas, we take pride in Johnny Cash, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Jimmy Driftwood, Al Green, Louis Jordan, Levon Helm and many more musicians. We bask in their accomplishments, mourn their tragedies, and are even embarrassed by their shortcomings. The character of these singers becomes a part of how we define ourselves. In them, we hear our own voice. They become a rhythmic aspect beating in the hearts of their fellow Arkansans.

Join the staff of the Delta Cultural Center in the grand opening of our latest exhibition celebrating the musical legacy of Arkansas. This unique exhibit will open on March 20 and run through November 21, 2026.

It is in the central gallery of the DCC Visitor Center in historic Helena-West Helena, Arkansas.

There will be food and entertainment provided. Also, follow us on social media for future programs associated with this exhibition.
