Candace Dolls

Education Director

Join DCC Education Director Candace Dolls and DCC guide Glenda Biggs for our next Caboose Reading on Saturday, April 20, 2024, starting at 10 a.m. at the DCC Depot. The Caboose Readings are part of an educational series by the Delta Cultural Center, scheduled tentatively for every third Saturday, and promotes reading and local authors.

The next book in this series will be "Papa's Pets" written by Arkansas author Maria Hoskins. "Papa's Pets" is a fictional story, but it symbolizes an account of a day in the life of Papa Gill and his dog JR. It was originally published in February 2018.

Author Maria Hoskins is a native of Mayflower, Arkansas and a graduate of Philander Smith College, who has written and published a number of books. According to a personal biography, "the purpose of her books is to share a happy memory form a moment in time, and to encourage young readers and writers."

This event is free and open to the public. For more questions, please call DCC Education Director Candace Dolls at 870-338-4350 or email her at [email protected]
