If you are an artist working in Arkansas wanting to further your career, the Arkansas Arts Council has partnered with Mid-America Arts Alliance for an incredible, free opportunity: Artist INC Express.
Artist INC Express is a three-day intensive workshop that brings artists together from around the state. These workshops are designed to help participants learn the most essential skills in the shortest amount of time. Some of the topics the workshops will cover include goal setting, personal branding and other building blocks for a successful art business.
This year, organizers wanted to reach more artists in our community so they are including specific workshops focused on bilingual or Spanish speakers, as well as workshops for BIPOC artists in Arkansas.
Kai Coggins, Arkansas native, poet and 2021 Governor’s Arts Award recipient recently said on social media, “I’ll be facilitating this, and I can attest that Artist INC is an amazing tool for artists at any stage in their professional reach.”
The best part? It’s absolutely free! Normally a workshop like this would cost $200, but the Arkansas Arts Council and Mid-America Arts Alliance know how times are hard and wanted to make this experience accessible to everyone.
These workshops are spread out over three days in three-hour segments.
