With Mim Heinrichs, Joanie Green and Julie Minkel of Sugar on the Floor

$25 per person. Bring a sack lunch. Register now.

Learn traditional songs and how to enthusiastically accompany yourself with rhythmic hand clapping, seated foot percussion and simple rhythm instruments. If you’ve always wanted to play a washboard or spoons, this is your chance! After this workshop you’ll go home humming and tapping your feet. And in the words of traditional singer, Ginny Hawker, remember that “you don’t have to sing pretty; you just have to sing good!”

Sugar on the Floor is a traditional singing group from Northwest Arkansas who have performed multiple times at HAM events, including the Frolic and Territorial Fair among others. Their voices, harmonies and percussion have brought joy to many.
