The Arkansas Arts Council will present “Grant Writing 101: Research and Preparation” from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, at the Department of Arkansas Heritage headquarters on 1100 North Street in Little Rock. This workshop is offered through the GetSmART! learning series. Brenda Mauldin, who has more than 25 years of experience raising funds for nonprofits, will lead the workshop.
This workshop is designed for individuals who are new – or relatively new – to grant writing and who are researching potential funders for organizations.
Participants will learn how to determine if an organization is “grant ready,” strengthen foundation research, interpret and manage search results, and understand the basic components of a grant application
Registration is $15, which includes morning refreshments, lunch and dessert. Reservations are required; deadline to register is May 4. To reserve a spot, contact Janet Perkins at (501) 324-9775.
