My focus is developing, and sustaining creative projects that are accessible and hold meaning for youth and their communities. I want to use theatre as a tool for organizations and schools who lack the opportunity to create theatre or who are not exposed to artistic experiences all together. I’ve found that listening to students and understanding what they see as pressing or important is what helps shape their own environments. Hopefully, the process of theatre making will be used as a way to express ideas in an entertaining fashion, start conversations and make an impact for youth in challenging communities. Showing students that connecting mind, body, and using imagination can hold valuable lessons and help them create something extraordinary for themselves and their communities.
