Three passions drive my every day: art, nonprofit work and grant writing. From an early age, art became that one thing that connected me to my purpose. Now, I enjoy a profession that allows me to engage each of my passions. Running a nonprofit art organization, Southwest Arkansas Arts Council, is the culmination of a life’s pursuit and landing in the right place. Not one art form best describes me, as I have a love for sketching, acrylic painting, pastels, clay works, jewelry making and just about everything in between. Recent changes in my professional life include completing an MBA and being recognized by my community for service in the nonprofit sector. Ernest Hemingway pinned, “never mistake movement for action”. A motto never fit someone better, action is required to change the world and make it beautiful through art.
