I have had a life-long interest in art and have been self-taught through books and publications like The Artist's Magazine. I have recently taken pastel
classes at the Arkansas Arts Center. I learned the art of quilting from my husband's grandmother. With a degree in environmental science and a love
for nature, my subject matter is usually outdoorsy. I especially enjoy textures and often incorporate textured papers, fabrics, and natural plant materials
into my work.
Professionally, I have been employed as an interpreter and educational program specialist. I enjoy teaching children and incorporating art into educational activities.
