Juried Artist Directory

Welcome to the new Juried Artist Directory!

Our Directory is dedicated to creating a free, online listing of 2D and 3D visual artists who have been recognized by independent jurors and panels connected to the Arkansas Arts Council's programs. Directory artists have been recognized by programs, such as Small Works on Paper, Individual Artist Fellowships, Governor's Arts Awards or Arkansas Living Treasure programs.

Artists chosen for the Directory have the opportunity to showcase their artworks on a free platform to help promote and market themselves and their artistic careers. Works can be updated by contacting the artist services manager.

Artists who have not been chosen by independent judges or panels will be removed from the listing. This is an ongoing process, and accounts without updates in the past two years will be removed first. Thank you for your patience as we revamp the listings.

My primary concern is communication. I want to clearly convey a meaning or story to nearly everyone who sees my paintings. I've always been interested in illustration and the story-telling capabilities that paintings have. I like to think of myself as a painter who illustrates everyday life. Much of this comes from the influence of Norman Rockwell. He was an artist who painted for a broad audience, not just other artists. My work is like Rockwell's in that I don't paint just for artists, although he painted for a popular magazine and I paint for myself and those around me.
