The Black History Commission of Arkansas will host its next symposium Saturday, Feb. 4 from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. titled, "African American Business and Entrepreneurship in Arkansas."
Featured speakers include:
- Dr. Brian Mitchell "Ninth Street Businesses"
- Larry Lewis "History of the Lewis Esso Gas Station in North Little Rock, Arkansas"
- Garbo Hearne "African Business in the Dunbar Historic District"
- Cheryl Batts & Kwendeche "Mapping the Pleasant Street Historic District"
It will be held at the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, located at 501 W. 9th Street in downtown Little Rock. Light refreshments will be served. Professional development hours will be available for all educators who attend.
